Triton Hearing Partnership

Ngāti Mākino Iwi Authority are excited to announce that we have partnered with Triton Hearing to help improve the hearing of our Ngāti Mākino uri 16 years and older.

As a result of this partnership, we have created a Hearing Aid Grant where we will be providing fifty (50) registered iwi members free hearing tests and a fully funded* pair of hearing aids, exclusively with Triton Hearing per year.

The official celebration of this partnership will coincide with the Hauora Day to be held on 5 November 2022 at
Otamarakau Marae from 10am.

The new Hearing Aid Grant Form will be available
from 6 October 2022

Hearing Aid Grant

Purpose

The purpose of the Hearing Aid Grant is to help improve the hearing of our registered Ngāti Mākino uri 16 years and older.

The hearing aid grant will provide fifty (50) registered iwi members with free hearing tests and a fully funded* pair of hearing aids, exclusively with Triton Hearing per year.

*Fully funded means that the hearing aid devices are being funded by Ngāti Mākino, Ministry of Health and/or Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC). 

Eligibility & Criteria

Payment

The prescribed amount of $1000.00 will be paid directly to Triton Hearing.

Depending on client need, the grant can also be used towards the purchasing of a higher level hearing technology. Any difference between retail pricing and funding available, would be paid privately by the iwi member.
